A2IDEAS Operations Update

May 8, 2020

Over the years, A2IDEAS has endeavored to provide a trusted community resource to families seeking assistance in the Special Education process.

In short, we are dedicated to helping families secure the most appropriate services and access to educational opportunities.

Today, we have an important update to share about our operations.

A2IDEAS founder and Executive Director, Heather Eckner, is currently on a planned Family Medical Leave of Absence. As the day-to-day leader of A2IDEAS’ all volunteer effort and our team’s sole Education Advocate, it is impossible to overstate how vital Heather is to our mission.

As such, A2IDEAS will not be able to continue its normal operations during this time.

Effective immediately, A2IDEAS has entered a planned suspension of operations. This suspension will be in effect for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic school year and into the summer months.

Many questions about COVID-19’s long term impact on our community’s families who rely on Special Education services remain to be determined. This is weighing heavily on our minds. A2IDEAS will monitor evolving plans for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year to inform how we can help families during this unprecedented time.
